Ceedee Lamb and George Pickens are looked at as one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL. During the Dallas Cowboys thrilling 40-37 victory against the New York Giants last week, they both made huge plays to get the win.
Lamb finished with nine catches for 112 yards, while Pickens had five catches for 68 yards and a touchdown.

With the team trailing by three late in the fourth quarter, Pickens caught a pass to take a 34-30 lead. After that play, the receiver duo celebrated with a ‘violent gesture’, and they were both fined for that play.
The NFL fined #Cowboys WRs CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens $14,491 each for unsportsmanlike conduct/violent gesture on this touchdown celebration last week.

Both of the receivers were fined $14,491 for that celebration, but that wasn’t the only fine for either of them. Pickens was fined the exact same amount again for removing his helmet, while Lamb was also fined another $11,593 for a taunting penalty later in the game.
In total, the duo was fined $55,066 in from the game.
CeeDee Lamb was fined another $11,593 for taunting on a separate play. So all total, $55,066 in fines for Dallas’ receiver duo in Week 2. https://t.co/1CZeuycK72

The celebrations and taunting has been a major talking point in the NFL during the off-season, and the league has been very strict with it early in the season.
Numerous players around the NFL were fined for violations in Week 2, as the league handed out seven different fines to players from last week for a total of $92,743.
Unsportsmanlike conduct is a major emphasis for the NFL. In all, the NFL handed out seven fines totaling $92,743 for such violations in Week 2, bringing the running total this season — including Jalen Carter’s lost game check for spitting on Dak Prescott — to $222,421. https://t.co/r2qLfP2uRc

The league made it a point of emphasis, and it has shown to be true to its word after Week 2.
Lamb and Pickens will be back in action in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears, and they may be in store for more big plays.
The Bears are coming off a 52-21 loss to the Detroit Lions, where Jared Goff finished 23-of-28 for 334 yards and five touchdowns. The team is without Jaylon Johnson, who is one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL.
If the Cowboys can get time for quarterback Dak Prescott, they figure to have many opportunities to make plays in the passing game. When Lamb and Pickens make those plays on Sunday, they may want to ease up on the celebrations, especially Pickens.
Lamb signed a four-year, $136 million contract before last season started, while Pickens is finishing up his four-year, $6.75 million rookie contract. Pickens is trying to show the Cowboys and the rest of the league he deserves a big contract as well, so he may try and avoid any more fines now.
The Cowboys and Bears kickoff on Sunday from Chicago at 4:25 p.m. ET, and the game will be on FOX.
