A debate about President Donald Trump‘s real height and weight has reignited on social media following his recent medical.
The president’s measurements have been topics of discussion for years, with many people questioning the accuracy of the numbers that have been reported.
Newsweek reached out to Trump’s representative via email for comment on Tuesday.
Why It Matters
Trump underwent his yearly physical on Friday at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and his “vital statistics” were released to the public. The 78-year-old was listed as 6 feet and 3 inches tall and weighed 224 pounds.
What To Know
In April 2023, Trump was charged in New York with 34 felony counts related to business fraud. His booking documents stated he was 6 feet and 2 inches tall and weighed 240 pounds. At the time, Trump called the case “an insult to our country.”
Three months later, in August 2023, Trump surrendered at Fulton County Jail in Atlanta on charges of plotting to overturn the state’s 2020 election results. Those records had him at 6 feet and 3 inches tall and 215 pounds—suggesting he grew an inch and lost 25 pounds. Trump repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in that election case.
In his recent physical, Trump also cleared the cognitive portion of the assessment, with a score of “30 out of 30,” the memo read.

What People Are Saying
On social media, people have taken to X, formerly Twitter, to share their thoughts on Trump’s latest statistics.
Jack Kimble, who is listed on X as “Republican Representing CA’s 54th Dist.” is satirical character who “is the brainchild of a Chicago teacher,” according to his Amazon bio. California only has 52 congressional districts.
“President Trump is now 6’3” 224 pounds with 4.8% body fat. We might lose him to the NFL draft,” the fictional right-wing congressman wrote. The 4.8-percent body fat number was not listed in Trump’s physical and appears to be a made-up figure.
At the time of publication, his comment had racked up more than 8.3 million views, 170,000 likes and 3,700 comments.

Political content creator Harry Sisson, who is listed as a Democrat in his X bio, wrote, “Donald Trump’s new physical claims he’s 6’2 and 224 pounds. For comparison, this is A.J. Brown—a wide receiver for the Eagles. He’s 6’1 and 227 pounds. I’ll let you decide if they look similar.”
His remark garnered 1.4 million views, 20,000 likes and 4,200 comments.
In the replies on both posts, many defended Trump, while others scoffed at the numbers.
“Muscle mass is more dense than fat mass,” ImmersedGolf pointed out, seemingly implying that it’s possible for both Trump and Brown to be similar heights and weights.
“Muscles [weigh] more than fat. One has a lot more muscles. What’s hard?” Duke3God wrote in a note with 67,400 views and 149 likes underneath Sisson’s post.
“Our commander in chief is solid,” self-proclaimed “ultra MAGA” account trumplove63 wrote.
“Muscle vs. fat? Is this supposed to be a ‘gotcha?'” BraedenSorbo chimed in.
“On God’s green earth, Trump is nowhere near 6’3,” X user Heavyy wrote.
“I mean they know we have eyes right?” celtichead asked.
“This country so full of s*** it’s comical,” YunglordKari added.
“This is so funny!! Hahaha. There is no way in hell he weighs 224. Hilarious. They are idiots to think anyone believes this!!” mikesheetz said.
Last year, reporter Jules Suzdaltsev converted a photo of Trump standing next to several of his family members into pixels and posted it on X. According to his calculations, the Republican is “*exactly* 5’11.”
In the image from the funeral of the mother of the president’s wife, Melania Trump, Donald Trump posed with her alongside their son Barron Trump, and Melania Trump’s father, Viktor Knavs.
“This pic of Barron & Trump makes it trivially easy to compare their heights. Trump is 458 pixels tall, Barron is 508 pixels tall (you can check). If Trump were 6’3, Barron would be a hair short of 7ft tall. But Barron is exactly 6’7…” Suzdaltsev said.
Following his physical, Donald Trump told reporters on Friday that he “wanted to be a little different” than former President Joe Biden.
“I took a cognitive test. And, I don’t know what to tell you other than I got every answer right. I took just a lot of different tests, having to do with the heart, having to do with other things, and I think you’ll find that I’m—they’re gonna release the report on Sunday, I think you’ll find it very good.”
