A woman placed a whiteboard calendar on her wall in the kitchen, keeping her organized for the month, but how her plans magically cleared up left viewers in stitches.
Katelyn Dulle decorates her calendar for the month, with each day filled with different colored circles as a key for her schedule. But when her orange cat, Kelso, saw how busy she was going to be, he decided to take matters into his own paws.
In her August 1 TikTok video, posted to her account @k8lyndoingthings, she filmed Kelso standing on a kitchen appliance, reaching his front paws to the calendar and rapidly scratching at the whiteboard. His paws, whether he realized it or not, began erasing the board and all of her plans along with it. Dulle told Newsweek via TikTok that his actions surprised her.
“He has done the paw movement to the outside door when I sit on the patio, but never to the calendar, so it was very spontaneous of him,” she said.

Luckily, Kelso cleared the calendar on the last day of July, so Dulle did not miss any important events or appointments. She called it “perfect timing.” He only helped prep her for the new month.
But that doesn’t mean Kelso won’t be back to clearing her schedule again. Dulle expects she’ll have to move the calendar in the future to ensure Kelso does not clear her weekends monthly.
The hilarious moment didn’t necessarily surprise viewers, as many thought it was typical cat behavior, running the house. Plus, cats will paw at smooth surfaces, such as windows and walls, for several reasons.
The simple reason is that it feels good, according to an article from Catster. Felines have different types of nerve endings on their paws. The sensation of pawing at a smooth surface might be soothing to them, forcing them to repeat the behavior.
However, they could also be doing this to mark their scent or trying to get your attention. They might see something outside the window, or even their reflection, and want to get a better look.
