Social-media users are obsessed with a woman spoiling her granddog with toys after the poor pup broke his paw.
After letting her golden retriever named Buzz go outside to play with the other dogs, Grace Dower, 23, instantly noticed something was wrong. She isn’t certain what happened, but Buzz started limping and could barely put any weight on his leg.
As it turns out, Buzz has a small fracture in one of the toes of his paw.
Thankfully, the injury occurred when Dower was staying with her family in Skaneateles, New York, before heading back to her home in Columbus, Ohio. So, Buzz was able to get some much-needed comfort from his grandmother, Nicole Dower, who knew exactly how to cheer him up.
“Buzz loves his stuffies and he only cuddles with them or holds them and walks around, never rips them up,” Grace told Newsweek. “My mom thinks it’s the cutest thing, so when he got hurt, she pulled out a few and let him choose which one.”

Grace captured the adorable moment her mom laid out three stuffies for Buzz and let him choose the one he wanted. While the adorable golden is “very thorough with his decisions,” his owner had a strong feeling that he would choose the bunny rabbit because he loves to chase them.
“Buzz will always cheer up to a new stuffy. I absolutely loved it, and it shows the relationship she has with all our dogs and how we treat them like babies because they’re family,” Grace continued.
The new bunny toy certainly did the trick to cheer Buzz up. He even cuddled with it for the entire car journey back to Ohio. It has now been added to his giant collection of stuffies—just as every pup deserves.
Grace shared the hilarious clip of her mom letting Buzz pick his new toy on TikTok (@graceydower) and it has gone viral in just a matter of days. At the time of writing, it has already generated over 2.2 million views and more than 337,200 likes on TikTok.
Alongside the clip, the caption reads: “The purest puppy of them all.”
The online reaction is beyond anything Grace expected, but she is delighted that Buzz’s relationship with his grandma could put a smile on so many faces. She has even created his own dedicated social-media accounts (@thegoldenboybuzz) now after seeing how much love was out there for him.
Grace said: “I get nervous sharing things on social media because people can be so mean, but there’s been nothing but positive reactions from everyone wishing him a speedy recovery and saying he is the sweetest soul.
“I read some of the comments to him because they’re so cute, and so many people have shared their dog stories in the comments. It makes me happy that one of our videos has brought so much happiness,” she continued.
With over 660 comments on the viral TikTok video, internet users can’t cope with Nicole’s way of cheering up her granddog.
One comment reads: “He’s for sure going to get them all at some point, grandmas aren’t slick.”
Another TikTok user wrote: “This is adorable! What a sweet grandma and granddog!”
A third person posted: “Giving her grand puppy a bunny stuffy is the most adorable thing I’ve seen today.”
